Knowledgeable and customer focused. Cannot recommend these folks enough.
I first experienced the deliciousness of On the Acre products at Bistro Urbano, CCISD’s Culinary Arts Program “laboratory” where students from all of CCISD’s high schools may explore their interests in this field in a real-world restaurant environment. On the Acre generously donated products for their monthly dinner series whereby the students present a multi-course dinner. Each course was garnished with a special (and delicious) product from On the Acre, from exotic microgreens to edible flowers to hand-foraged wild strawberries. By coincidence, one of the owners, Nathan, was seated at the table next to me, and I had the opportunity to learn more about the passion and vision which gave birth to such a wonderful local business! I recently purchased tickets for my husband and I to attend a special farm-to-table event On the Acre is hosting in October including Houston’s finest chefs, and absolutely can’t wait!
So delighted to have found this business while wandering around a local Farmers' Market over a year ago. Now I don't know how I could live happily without my microgreens subscription supplemented by their amazing salads. I treat myself to their pesto as well. In fact, in months with 5 weeks (I get my deliveries 1st and 3rd Fridays), I am bereft, and my eggs, pastas, veggies, sandwiches...all seem tasteless. These folks are such a gem!! (I'm not great at "plating" but tell me my guests, pre-Covid, didn't LOVE the cheese, microgreens and crackers. And of course On the Acre with eggs every morning.Yum!)
My husband and I stumbled upon this great little farm a couple years ago and have LOVED our microgreen & edible flower delivery ever since. The pesto sauce is also AMAZING!! They really put their hearts in everything they grow and make! We add microgreens to everything we eat now! We highly recommended On the Acre!
