This is what small business is all about! Ron was kind enough to give me a tour and sent me home with a box of oyster mushrooms (blue and pearl) and a grow bag to take home and grow some more! We had a good chat, too! He also has a really cool, sustainable business model, using what can so easily be regarded as a waste product of mushroom cultivation to continue growing healthy, delicious mushrooms, and even uses the finally-spent mushroom blocks in his home garden (which in my opinion is thriving, btw). What a cool guy! This is the kind of person you want to buy edible mushrooms from if you're in the Independence, MO area.
