Ozark Forest Mushrooms is a mushroom farm in St. Louis. They have a stand at the Tower Grove Farmers Market on Saturdays, which is considered to be the premier farmers market in the city. They sell fresh mushrooms here, but this stand differentiates itself by offering a couple of meals made with their mushrooms for marketgoers to enjoy here. They offered a mushroom stir-fry or curry for $10, which is reasonably priced and allows you to try a variety of their mushrooms in one meal. I tried the mushroom curry, which is made Thai style with coconut milk. The meal was tasty and filling. It was nice to try out some local mushrooms here while visiting, which I otherwise would not be able to try as typically the mushroom sellers that I see at farmers markets do not offer prepared meals.

We tried some Lions main for the first time and I'm hooked. Is there any way they can set up at the Alton farmer's market on Saturday's?
I get maitake and oyster mushrooms from here, they are always top quality. I've successfully converted my whole family to being obscure mushroom lovers thanks to Ozark. Once I got a craving for oyster mushrooms and went to an asian market, but the oyster shrooms I got from there were bitter. This is a great place to get consistently choice mushrooms for all your culinary needs. I just wish I could get some Chicken of the Woods!
Ozark Forest has an incredible selection of fresh mushrooms at the Soulard Farmers Market, including Lion’s mane and half a dozen varieties of oyster mushrooms. They’ve also got a wide selection of mushroom-derived products, like teas, soy sauce, and other pantry items. An absolute asset to St. Louis and our food scene!
