About the Nursery

Drought-Tolerant Specialty Nursery. Top products: cacti, agave, drought-tolerant plants. VA Nursery is a family-owned and operated horticultural business located in Beaver Dam, Arizona. Situated on a five-acre property, the nursery specializes in the cultivation of drought-tolerant plant species, with a particular focus on cacti and agave varieties. The operation emphasizes locally grown inventory, propagating plants from seed to ensure quality and acclimation to the regional climate. Serving both local residents and the broader community, the nursery operates as a destination garden center where customers can explore an extensive, rotating selection of water-wise ornamental plants beyond what is listed on their digital platform. The business maintains a strong focus on sustainable, low-maintenance landscaping solutions, providing professional-grade botanical specimens to homeowners and landscapers in the Arizona, Nevada, and Utah tri-state area. Their mission centers on providing robust, desert-adapted flora that thrive in arid environments.

My front yard has undergone a significant transformation due to the selection of plants I acquired from a VA nursery. The nursery has an extensive and impressive collection, which has yielded remarkable results for my landscaping project.

Good design. No follow up support just give me the money. Don't buy their Joshua Trees, they will die very fast. 25% of their plants died and no return call...the plants are not guaranteed...just give me the money and good by. Kind of shady operation, no name on their trucks. I thought was illegal but they get away with it. They have a good selection of plants but their attitude stinks. So be careful what you spend your money on. Don't buy a lot. You might spend and be disappointed.

VA Nursery has the largest selection of desert plants in the area, including Washington County. But be forewarned, they are a "mom & pop" business, so the business hours can change without warning. Best to check the very day you plan to go. Drove all the way only to find the business closed for a personal engagement, according to a woman on the property who was responsible for turning customers away.
