We visited this place a few times before COVID. It was big and has tons of different plants. It was truly amazing. We bought two plants and they are still alive. During COVID, the store was not open. This is our first visit after COVID. The store has shrunk quite a bit unfortunately. There are only a few “popular” types and those rare ones are no longer available. Sad. I wish one day it can return to the old glory days.
Do not waste your time. This is not the same place that most of the reviews refer to. It was sold to a new owner (the son?) and has been left to deteriorate. It is just one tiny room with scarce stock at exorbitant prices. We drove all the way down from Marin and could not have been more disappointed. California Carnivores up in Sebastopol is still the gold standard.
I walked in to a promise from the old owners that my Nepenthes cloud be repotted for free. So, I was told the place was sold and was under new ownership. Cool. I Get it. Can I pay you to do this then? No. This place has changed and for the worst. I used to pay their high prices because I had customer service. This was all while one girl was stuck glued on her phone doing nothing. 10 minutes later my family and I walked by and entered, and there was one cashier and one girl on here phone doing nothing. Oh. She told me I could go to youtube do it. Buy online This is not that same business
Best store to get cornivorus plants. It's easy to find on highway 92. Only 5min drive from Halfmoon bay. Helping and knowledgeable staff.
