This is a beautiful place to be if you are living or visiting somewhere nearby. Or it could be worth the drive if you love to be in a large garden/forest kinda space that is safe, quiet, peaceful and not overfilled with humans like some of the big botanical gardens in the southern California area. As for the varieties of species here, it's very underwhelming compared to any of the other botanical gardens I have been. Too many varieties of the same kind of trees and shrubs. However, there are many different spaces to rest and relax and meditate, in the midst of nature, in a space that's more cultivated, regulated and safe than your average nature trail. And there are many advantages to that. But it also costs 15 dollars. I found this the perfect place to just sit listening to the birds. This is a very meditative space, whether you love to sit and meditate or do a walking meditation. Or just relax with a book and read without being interrupted by the cacophony of humans. Every 5-10 minutes a couple or a mom and her toddler could pass you by. Can easily spend 3-5 hours here or the whole day if you pack a lunch and a snack. And enough water. I wish the management would add more stations for filling your water bottle and more working restrooms.

Nice experience. Went with my gf just to get away for the day, we were not disappointed. We saw the biggest frog! As well as other wildlife. Had a great, peaceful time. Thank you.

It's a great visit because it's not too small nor too large. There is plenty of shade and benches, throughout the entire garden. The variety of plants is inmense. So much, that you may miss many species along the way. There are butterfly, bird and toad sections. There will be a higher ground portion, to which there is an easy ramp for both wheelchair and walking. Enjoy!
