Lotus Bonsai Nursery & Gardens

Scott has beautiful specimens and has mastered the art of Bonsai! He is a wealth of knowledge and welcomes visitors to his beautiful bonsai haven. We have purchased several plants from him and they thrive!

I have had two classes with Lou and I plan on a third and probably more. Lou is amazingly talented with his bonsai and a really great teacher for people just starting. His knowledge of bonsai is unlimited and it’s such a wonderful way to spend a few hours. His assistant, Cheryl is a riot and attentive to each student. I can’t say enough about this experience. It was also so exciting to receive our bonsai’s in Maine. They arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Lou!

I decided to take a few days before writing my review to help write more accurately. short version: 10/10 (just be sure to email ahead of course) This is an amazing nursery and gardens, even though it seems to be run from home, it is on a couple acres and in the outskirts. When you step out of your car it already seems like a wonderful place. The man was the one there at the time and was very friendly, and who I assume is his wife was only there for a moment but seemed nice as well. When you step into the area with the ‘complex’ bonsai’s it is like stepping into another place entirely- it is so beautiful. There are so many bonsai to see, as well as a pond which we only saw for a short time, an area of thousands of pots (which we only saw from afar), and another area of bonsai starters (we did not make it over there this trip). They also have some non-bonsai plants. Anyone could surely spend hours here, though we didn’t want to overstay our welcome! This is definitely an amazing place, just make sure to email in advance- It’s common decency (and it’s rather solitary, with a gate around the property). I very much enjoyed my trip to this nursery and garden, and highly recommend going here even if it’s just a visit. (it is always nice to support small/local businesses and people) The prices are very reasonable, and overall I will definitely visit again if/when I can. Thank you Lotus Bonsai Nursery & Gardens!!

Was helping a friend look for a Christmas present (Bonsai Tree) she had been wanting to get for her husband. Found this listing online and preceded to contact them for questions i had as far as prices/Shipping. i live 1.5 hours away and when asked about shipping the guy scoffs and says "you see..my time is worth 90$ an hour so, if you're buying 5000$ worth of Bonsai Trees sure i guess i can haul them up there and drop them off to you" he came off as irritated and was rude the entire conversation. i got an idea? why don't we work on our people skills and learn some common decency BUYER BEWARE customer service here is terrible.
