About the Nursery

Hardy Drought-Resistant Perennial Nursery. Top products: Hardy perennials, Ornamental grasses, Native California plants, Salvias, Hardy geraniums, Cut flower varieties. Meadowlark Nursery is a wholesale-focused horticultural operation located in California, dedicated to the production of hardy and drought-tolerant perennial plants and grasses. Their inventory is specifically curated for the interior California climate, prioritizing species that can endure significant temperature extremes, including hot summers and cold winters. Unlike coastal-focused nurseries, Meadowlark specializes in vegetation that thrives in inland conditions and requires minimal supplemental water during dormancy. Their diverse catalog includes extensive varieties of salvia, hardy geraniums, iris, and woodland perennials, catering primarily to landscape professionals and trade clients. The nursery operates on a wholesale-to-the-trade business model, facilitating distribution through weekly delivery services and scheduled 'will-call' pickups for commercial clients, while maintaining a closed-door policy to the general public to focus on bulk professional supply.

This is a great wholesale nursery for perennials and other fascinating, drought tolerant and easy care plants. They have been in business for a long time, really know their plants and have excellent expertise in different climate zones. Definitely recommend this business.

Called this business. Here is our conversation: Woman: "Hello?" Me: "Hi... Is this meadowlark nursery and landscaping?" Woman: *unintelligible* Me: "Sorry, is this meadowlark nursery and landscaping?" Woman: "Who are you?" Me: "Never mind." Extremely unprofessional. If you cannot bother to answer your phone professionally, and you are rude, to boot, you won't be getting much business.
