About the Nursery

Choose-and-cut Christmas Tree Farm. Top products: Douglas Fir trees, Christmas trees up to 16 feet, Firewood. Four Winds Christmas Trees is a family-operated choose-and-cut tree farm located in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Los Gatos, California. Established and managed by the Douglas family, the farm specializes in providing large, high-quality Christmas trees, including Douglas Firs, with some specimens reaching heights of 16 feet or more. The operation caters primarily to local families and individuals from the Silicon Valley area looking for an authentic, hands-on holiday experience. During the peak harvest season from Thanksgiving through Christmas, the farm provides visitors with saws and twine to facilitate the harvesting process, along with amenities such as free netting, hot beverages, and firewood while supplies last. The business maintains a traditional, appointment-flexible approach to sales and emphasizes a welcoming environment for establishing family traditions. They operate on a flat-rate pricing model and accept multiple digital payment methods to streamline the customer experience. The farm relies on the natural, favorable climate of the Santa Cruz Mountains to support healthy tree growth throughout the year.

First time our family cut down our own tree. It was an amazing and fun experience. Although trees look smaller on the farm, when we got it home we set it up in the tree stand it almost put a hole in the 12 foot ceiling. When my son cut the netting it was literally like the Griswald Christmas tree. It takes up almost half of our living room. Too big for the tree stand we have so it tilts a little but we are more than happy with it. Cats are too they like to hide under it. Edit: We have now gone three years in a row and will be our new family tradition.

This is the kind of place you almost don’t want to review because it’s such a gem you want to keep it all to yourself. The trees were perfectly manicured and healthy. There’s an amazing assortment of tree varieties and sizes so whatever your preference is, they’ll likely have. We went during a weekday so the farm was self-serve, but they have all the making of a professionally run farm on the weekends. All of this and it’s on an amazing piece of property. You have to do this at least once and I guarantee you’ll want to make it a tradition.

We've been cutting down our Christmas tree here for about 3 years now and it's such a great place for trees. It has a lovely picnic spot and we barbecue, bring lovely cheeses and salads and drink great red wine after cutting down our Christmas tree. Wonderful family and lucky to have such a great spot to do it in. 🌲❤️

Great Christmas tree farm. Everybody was very friendly and they had complimentary hot cider and hot chocolate. The netting, twine, and use of their saw were also free.

We have gone to get our tree here for a few years now and the fun never stops. Free hot coco! Free apple cider! Free netting! And friendly staff! What's not to like? And did I mention the tamales for sale at the exit? Can I give a 6 star review?
