About the Nursery

Specialty Kokedama Moss-Ball Nursery. Top products: Kokedama Moss Ball Plants, Ficus Ginseng Kokedama, Anthurium and Fern Arrangements, Money Tree Kokedama, Succulent Kokedama. Kokedama by Kodama Forest is a specialty horticultural nursery focusing on the ancient Japanese botanical art of Kokedama—creating 'living moss ball' plants. The business operates primarily as a boutique grower and creator of indoor ornamental greenery, catering to homeowners, office decorators, and gift-givers seeking unique, sustainable interior plants. Their core product line consists of various houseplants, including Peperomia, Ivy, Dracaena, Anthurium, Asparagus fern, and various succulents, all meticulously encased in a specialized soil and moss substrate. Each plant is handcrafted to order, emphasizing traditional Japanese craftsmanship, precision, and mindful care. Beyond retail sales of finished plant specimens, Kodama Forest also provides educational services through hands-on Kokedama workshops held at various locations. They also offer a curated range of botanical accessories, such as custom saucers, moss care products, and heat packs for shipping. By blending traditional horticultural techniques with modern indoor plant trends, they provide a niche service that integrates living nature into modern living spaces while offering detailed care guidance to ensure plant longevity.

We scheduled a class for my birthday and had a great time! It's a small business so it was a private lesson for our group of 6. The woman who leads the class gives great instruction and makes it very fun with a group of people.

Such a sweet owner! She is super knowledgeable and told us exactly what we needed to do. Workshop was 10/10 experience and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something a little more unique. Absolutely love my plants.

We had a wonderful lesson. Kanako explained the significance of the Kokedama and how to care for it. My friend and I were able to select our own unique plant to build. Fun and peaceful all at the same time.

My friends and I had a lovely afternoon choosing a plant and learning about Kokedama from Kanako. She helped us a long and even served tea.
