One of my favorite plant nurseries. My son used to work here so I spent a lot of time finding plants I like. The people working here are so nice and helpful. The only place I like to get my plants.

I’m not someone who normally takes time to write reviews, but I make exception for La Sumida. I’ve been coming here off and on for years for random garden odds-and-ends, and have always been happy with selection, the layout of their location, the amazing staff, and popcorn. The selection and variety of fruit trees and roses was just what we needed to really spice up our garden, and Tyler was a phenomenal help. We were given the time, attention, and expertise to make confident (and fun) decisions on how to transform our garden, with it never feeling pushy or rushed. You may have to wait a little for help (given the care and attention paid to everyone), but it is well worth it, especially when jumping into plants and trees we’ve never grown before. We will be back and thank you again Tyler!

Of the ones I've tried, La Sumida is easily the best nursery in the SB/Goleta area. Everything you'd expect at a top tier nursery, as far as plants, supplies, etcetera. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, and better prices than the other nurseries I've visited. Plenty of parking. If you are in the SB/Goleta area and shopping for flora, this should be your first stop.

Went in looking for a small gift, and was not disappointed!! Between the main gift shop area and the beautiful Christmas display ready in the greenhouse, there were awesome choices and good prices. They had a sweet section of baby items and cute decor items. Good to keep on the list for holiday shopping. Friendly staff, too!

I can’t get over how nice and knowledgeable the staff are at this store. They hire the right people. And maybe working with plants makes you happy. So grateful for this place.
