Hana Gardens Seaside (Seaside Garden Center)

Had good stock of small perennials and annuals. Good quality stock, but not a lot of inventory. Front desk lady not particularly friendly.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning here. I preordered a passionfruit vine last July and was called to pick it up in August. At the time, I specifically asked for a fruit-producing vine and trusted their expertise. Now that the vine has finally flowered, I’ve discovered it produces red flowers. While it still bears fruit, it’s not the typical variety someone would order primarily for fruit production. There was no way for me to know this until it matured. I called the store to explain the situation, but was told that the manager had reviewed the purchase and nothing could be done since 10 months have passed. I find this frustrating, as I relied on their guidance when making the purchase. Even when I called earlier this week, the employee I spoke with acknowledged that the purple-flowering passionfruit vine is what customers are given when they want fruit production. I’m disappointed that no resolution was offered, especially given the circumstances. So be sure to double-check exactly what you’re getting, even when trusting the staff’s recommendations.

Great products for your garden

Such a lovely garden shop! They have a large variety of plants to choose from, and my favorite is that they quite a few plants that are native to California! We didn't need soil, but it looks like sell bulk soil, which is pretty cool. They're priced were also very fair and competitive and their plants were all well-taken care of. Staff was also very friendly and helped answer some questions we had about the plants we purchased. We will definitely back for all of our gardening needs!

Hana's is becoming my GoTo nursery. They are always friendly and helpful. They were the only nursery who was able to solve my tree leaf disease, and provided me with the necessary product and clear instructions to remedy the problem. They clearly know plants and enjoy sharing their knowledge with their customers.
