About the Nursery

Retail Garden Center Nursery. Top products: Trees, Shrubs, Roses, Vegetable starts, Houseplants. Armstrong Garden Centers is a well-established horticultural retailer operating 27 nursery locations, focused on serving residential gardeners and professional landscapers. Founded in 1889, the company functions as an employee-owned business that emphasizes local expertise and horticultural success through its 'Gardening Without Guesswork' philosophy. Their core business involves the retail sale of a wide range of ornamental and edible plants, including trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal vegetable starts like tomatoes and peppers. Each plant inventory is selected to match local climate needs and undergoes rigorous quality inspections. Beyond plant sales, Armstrong offers professional landscape design and installation services. They differentiate their retail offering with a lifetime guarantee on all trees and shrubs, aiming to mitigate the risks associated with gardening for home customers. Their operations include both in-store browsing and a streamlined e-commerce platform that facilitates curbside pickup and local delivery services, supported by professional horticulturists who assemble and vet customer orders.

Always a pleasure to go to this store. Great selection! Always have unique stuff. When home Depot or Lowe's won't do the job. I come here and get stuff for the yard. Little pricey but you get what you pay for.

July update: Kyler gave me the greatest potting and delivery deal. They are experts at potting new plants. Michael gave priceless advice and tips. Luke helped with delivery, who was strong and knowledgable. Kyler and Armstrong have a great team! June update: Kyler has the best team and Michael is top of the line with customer service. Michael is like a scientist, helping with the balancing act of overwatering or under watering and products it may need or not. He humbly shares his experiences so I don't have to make mistakes that kill my plants. You can tell that Michael is an expert but has great social skills that he can relay it to novices like me. I feel like I am a bother asking too many questions, but Michael is the warmest and sweetest answering my redundant and sometimes stupid questions. He deserves major compliments. May 28th update: , Armstrong's dream team...manager Kyler with his experts Dale, Jake, Michael, Fran, are the best. Today they addressed all my concerns. They inform me, teach me and inspire me so I turned my black thumb into making a green paradise. I'm so grateful to them, so the best I can do is a good review or give candy. They should have tip jars! Kyler the manager is the most informative. He went through each plant concern and talked me through all the options to help save my plants. Armstrongs team is great: Dale, Jake, Michael and even Coleman in the front desk. Update March Besides Kyler, Dale and Fran having the best advise for novices like me, Michael who is new, is a encyclopedia and scientist combined breaking down how fertilizer and application works or doesn't in great detail. Great team! updating. I highly recomend Kyler at Armstrong for troubleshooting issues. He was very knowledgable at helping me troubleshoot repotted plants. He is great with novices, and humbly gives good advice. Dale and Jake were terrific navigating options and care. Luke and Somner were remarkable at delivery. Sklyer has a great team.

Are you a retired customer spending good money here? Remember to ask for your 10% discount. Spend over 650 during the year? Remember to ask for any rewards to use. Today I got the bums rush {as my husband called it} after I paid and then asked if my senior discount was applied, the cashier responded "Oh no. You have to ask for it. We are trained to NOT ask. Just remember to ask next time". Dear Kyler, my suggestion would have your employee get the manager, explain "the customer didn't ask for her Sr discount and she did spend $162 with tax. Can we re-roll this transaction for her? That is customer service. Not a big ole move it along, ask next time.
