I bought a Mexican Lime tree from Costco three years ago.  Last year no limes, this year a tree full of limes that start green and ripen to a yellow.  THEY are marble size.  You can't squeeze them for juice. They've had 2 citrus fertilizer

Hello Paul. Can you share which fruit you are asking about? Some plants, like Citrus, are self pollinating. Others, like many  Avocados, produce a more abundant crop if a pollinator is close by. So the answer is it depends on the fruit variety.

When planting a clementine tree do you leave it in the plot it comes in?

Yes, the clementine should be removed from the pot. Place the pot on its side and gently press on different areas of the side of the pot to loosen the soil. Then, carefully pull out the tree and place it into the hole you have dug. The potting soil of the tree should sit slightly higher than the level of the ground to allow for settling after planting.
