Short of the mark. I called in to ask about hail netting in advance before making a drive out from Denver and was told they had it, and was quoted $21 for ~160sqft. Great. Drove out and couldn’t find anyone to help so I had to wait a good long while for an employee to finish a convo with someone about AI. I fill them in on the call that I had with another employee and what I’m looking for and they said they don’t sell anything like that. Sure, that’s frustrating, but then they go on a tangent about how they don’t protect their garden from the hail, so I shouldn’t either. Was told that the plants just spring back from large hail, and was insistent that I must have some moral imperative or ulterior motive to care so much about hail. We reached this point without me having added any additional prompts- just going from “we don’t have what you’re looking for” to “nobody cares about this, you must have other motives if you do, and I know because I work in this department”- but if I *absolutely had to do something* to protect my garden, I should buy this fabric that’s 120sqft for $90. I took that as my cue to leave. I have a cruciferous garden. You know- lettuce, mustard greens, radishes. Things that don’t magically immediately rise back up from destroyed leaves given the leaves *are the yield* I’ve also got young rhubarb which *will* die if those leaves are that severely damaged. Perhaps I’ll just feast on a salad bowl of nothing and bake an air pie after these hail storms from the Super El Niño start taking off. They could have asked for more detail on what was discussed on the call, but went off on this tangent instead. It was inappropriate. It was a waste of my gas and time, and a massive disappointment. Not 1 star because regardless of poor customer service, they have a good selection.
