About the Nursery

Retail Garden Center and Nursery. Top products: Perennial plants, Annuals, Native plants, Hanging baskets, Vegetable starts. Fort Collins Nursery is a comprehensive retail garden center located in Northern Colorado, serving as a primary hub for horticultural goods and gardening education. Their core offerings encompass a diverse range of plant material, including perennials, annuals, vining plants, and a dedicated selection of native species specifically grown for the local climate. Beyond plant sales, the nursery functions as an educational resource, providing professional articles and workshops focused on seasonal planting techniques, native garden development, and container design. The business caters to both residential gardeners and professional landscapers, offering seasonal promotions on vegetable starts, flowering shrubs, and horticultural supplies. Fort Collins Nursery has been a family favorite, and annual Mother's Day shopping trip for years. Unfortunately, we noticed a sharp decline in quality this year. With our adult children, we all purchased several houseplants, herbs, vegetable starters, and flowering plants. Many of the houseplants had root rot and died, and several of the other plants are either struggling, diseased or have died. Having spent quite a bit on plants there this year collectively, we are very disappointed.

The nursery stretches out like a small botanical world of its own. Rows of towering evergreens, delicate saplings, fruit trees, and ornamental varieties create a canopy of textures and shades of green. Every corner of the nursery is manicured like an enchanted story. They even have a small area for kids to play. What made thus place even more special, is Maddy. 😃 She doesn't just work there. She is knowledgeable, fun, and passionate. She dedicated a long time explaining the differences between fast‑growing privacy trees, and ornamental species. Whether you're looking for a small plant, or planning big yard project, this is the place to go.
