Continental Tree Farms

We were unsure as to what we wanted when we came here and we were shown a few suitable trees based on what we were needing as far as space and pet requirements. The owners had so much knowledge and helped us with our selection. We ened up buying a Spring Snow crabapple tree from them last fall. They delivered the tree to us and even brought it to the backyard and placed it in the hole. After giving us some more tips on her care, they let us know that she probably won't bloom her first year due to the trauma of being replanted. We are so happy to report that she has survived the winter and the high winds storms we have had and she also gave a blossom with many more buds getting ready to bloom! We are excited to see how she does over the summer and highly recommend getting a tree from Coninental Tree Farms!

Great place and a great price for trees! They have colorado hardened trees that are ready to dig and transplant.

The owners of this place are amazing!! We have been getting bids to do a Xeriscaping job with some trees included and even though we have not yet hired a vendor for the job, this company has called us various times and helped us understand what we need based on our other trees so we don't make mistakes. We are an apartment complex and the trees cannot be too large or fast growing as to not cover the windows of the units, especially the 2nd floor units. We didn't even know what trees we had so we sent this company some pictures and they found that we had Alberta Spruce. They sourced them for us and hopefully we will be doing some good business with them in the near future. It's almost winter now so we might have to wait till next spring but the follow up/kindness and attention to detail from these people is amazing. Thanks Continental Tree Farms. We are glad we found you.

This is a great source for trees with very helpful owners. I bought white firs, ponderosa pines and a couple of spruce trees from them in 2017. All but 1 made it and they are doing well. Growing trees in CO is very challenging, especially deciduous trees, and especially in Southern CO. Make sure you know what you are doing, choose a site that likely has some moisture under it (NOT on a ridge for example) and plant things that grow here naturally. Go to a local "wild" park that is not irrigated, and see what's growing- those are the things you can grow in Southern CO. Notice what is growing in full sun, what is growing in partial shade, what is growing right next to a stream (those will need a lot of water), what is growing on northern exposures and southern exposures. Don't try to grow East Coast trees here unless you plan to baby it every day, forever. Also, trees will NOT grow at the maximum rate in southern CO due to the soil. All newly plated trees need to be watered for 2 years, and mulched. It's a commitment but it's worth it. Some trees just die no matter what. Don't blame the supplier if you don't research what grows naturally near you. Anything that doesn't grow naturally near you is probably going to be a lot of work forever- your choice.

I received this businesses name from my boss to call & inquire about donating some massive yuccas we have. The woman on the phone was so condescending & correcting every grammatical/speech mistake I made. In the end I just said nevermind & hung up. As we start with our landscaping journey, I'll be sure not to give them my business.
