About the Nursery

Choose and Cut Christmas Tree Farm. Top products: Concolor Fir, Blue Spruce, White Spruce, Canaan Fir, Maple Syrup. Bob's Tree Farm is a family-owned and operated agricultural business established in 1980, specializing in the cultivation and retail of coniferous trees for the Christmas season. Operating as a choose-and-cut facility, the farm invites customers to explore their grounds to select and harvest their own trees using provided hand saws. The inventory primarily features Concolor fir, Blue spruce, White spruce, and Canaan fir, each noted for specific needle retention, fragrance, and aesthetic characteristics. The farm maintains a seasonal business model, opening exclusively on weekends in December. Beyond their primary horticultural operations, they produce and sell small-batch, locally-harvested maple syrup. The facility offers on-site services including tree baling and vehicle securing assistance, catering primarily to local families and seasonal holiday shoppers seeking a traditional, hands-on experience in a rural, farm-direct setting.

Response to Collin: Bob first planted Christmas trees on his lot in 1980. He was a full-time carpenter during the week, but was open to sell Christmas trees every weekend in December. Bob built the little red shed 39 years ago and continued selling Christmas trees through his lifetime. Now, Bob’s son is at the tree lot every weekend in December to welcome new customers and long-time customers alike. The hours, as given on the website and on the Bob’s Tree Farm sign, are December only, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. Perhaps, you went by the tree lot outside of business hours. Bob’s son appreciates standing in the little red shed where his dad stood for so many years and greeting the same people that his dad greeted many years ago. Bob’s Tree Farm is not only a business, it is a family tradition. It is a pleasure seeing the same folks come back year after year to walk the lot, enjoy the beauty, play in the snow and find the tree that is just right. Many customers have expressed their enjoyment in meeting Bob’s grandson, who is named after his grandfather, and watching him grow up along with the trees. By watching and listening to his dad, he is becoming knowledgeable about Christmas trees and the work it takes throughout the year to nurture them. Each Spring new trees are planted, adding to the various sizes. Most trees take about 8-10 years to reach 6-7 feet. There are hundreds of Christmas trees on the farm. A Christmas wish….that you found the perfect tree for you this year, that it brings light and the fragrance of joy to your home and that you are able to carry on happy, treasured family traditions. Response to Laurey, Renee and Dave: Thank you for enjoying Bob’s Tree Farm and for your appreciation of the challenges and hard work that goes into farming. Merry Christmas! Looking forward to sharing the joy of the season again with you all next year!
