About the Nursery

Family-owned Garden Center. Top products: seasonal plants, nursery stock, farm market goods. Robert Treat Farm is a historic, family-owned agricultural property located in Milford, Connecticut, with roots dating back to the town's founding in 1639. Operating as a seasonal farm market and garden center, the business serves the local community from April through October. The centerpiece of the property is a traditional post-and-beam barn, constructed in 2008 to replace a long-standing original farm stand. The business focuses on sustainable agricultural practices and functions as a community hub for regional horticulture. Their retail operations include a garden center offering seasonal plant varieties and nursery products, alongside a farm store. Targeting local homeowners and visitors, the farm emphasizes its connection to Connecticut’s agrarian heritage, providing an open-air, accessible environment for gardening enthusiasts to source plants and local goods while maintaining the long-term stewardship of the historic property.

This is a charming little garden shop that has plants trees as well as pastries, sourdough bread and cheese products. It is a nice little garden shop to visit. However if you are looking for good prices then this is probably not the shop for you. It is full retail not wholesale but absolutely worth a stop in as a gift shop or local garden shop.

People are rude. I tried to get flower arrangements on mother's day which they don't offer which is fine but feels like a big missed opportunity, and they could have tried to figure something out for me. I then asked them what the best they could do on a garden figurine was and she said "the best we can do is what's on the tag" and she actually took it out of my hand and put it back for me before I could even say if I was still interested -- which I was. Probably won't be returning

I love the flowers, soil & vegetables and the pies from the Michelles are amazing... Just get bit frustrated that says OPEN 10 AM online and I often get there and it's not open. No sign on the door windows.
