I recently visited Verab Greenhouses in Bethany, Ct. I was pleasantly surprised to see such beautiful plants. I purchased a beautiful pink Scaevola hanging basket and a red and yellow petunia basket for $30.00 for the two. I wish I knew about this place in the beginning of the season. I will definitely visit again.

I found this place the other day thanks to a Facebook ad. Tons of space for plants, tons of variety. Very obvious they grow most of their own plants. Staff is 100/10. So friendly with me but I also heard them help a woman who needed to decorate her backyard for prom pics last minute and help a man in a wheelchair pick out what he wanted. It’s clear the people who work here genuinely love what they do and want to help customers get the best summer gardens no matter what they’re looking for. Important to note that the plants all looked healthy and well taken care of as well!

So worth the trip off Route 63. Questions about sun and shade requirements were cheerfully answered by a woman two weeks ago. The geraniums are holding up well.
