I received a FTD delivery a few weeks ago and Grove Gardens was the vendor. The arrangement itself was beautiful and it came in a large ceramic pumpkin that was supposed to have a top but the delivery person broke it in my driveway and she told me. I understood, mistakes happen and she said she would bring back another but it would not be that same day. After waiting a week, I emailed Grove Gardens and although it said I would get a reply in 24 hours I did not receive any reply so after a few days I called there and spoke with a woman who was aware of my situation and said she might not have that exact pumpkin but she had something comparable and she would get back to me. She did not call back. A few days later I was in Clinton so I stopped there and talked to the same woman , and she said the pumpkin I received was "one of a kind" a soup tureen, and did not offer me anything else until I firmly requested a replacement of some kind. She then gave me a smaller one with a top. Not about the pumpkin, although my son spent a substantial amount of money to send this arrangement. This is about the lack of customer service. Pretty important , especially when running a small business.

I came into grove gardens today for the first time is nearly 25 years. I grew up in Clinton but left as soon as I could and now live in North Branford. I unexpectedly had to go to Westbrook today and it just so happens to be my late best friend's birthday who would have been 36. We unfortunately lost her almost 3 years ago. After my errands in Westbrook i realized I had forgotten my sweater and it's beautiful out, but the wind makes it just a bit chilly so I ran to Goodwill next door first and then I remembered grove gardens....I needed to get her flowers. This lovely women, I had forgotten her name, listened to what the flowers were for and the circumstances. As soon as I told her Shalane's favorite color was blue, she went into the back and grabbed a few beautiful flowers and she helped me pair them with some beautiful white ones with a single white rose. The small bouquet was absolutely beautiful...but this WONDERFUL women would not take a cent for them. I truly was so emotional with tears I didn't know what to say and that's why I forgot her name! She touched my heart so much today and she didn't know me from Adam. Grove Gardens...you have a true angel on your payroll! Thank you so much!!
