Great selection of trees, bushes, perennials! Helpful staff too. It's a bit pricey - this dipladenia was $40, but it's pretty, so I bought it anyway!

I find their shrubs to be a good price relative to their size. Folks are friendly. They have a great selection of indoor and tropical plants in addition to perennials and hanging baskets. The nursery is a lot bigger than it appears from the parking lot.

I was in a pinch and needed plant food, so I stopped at Bell Nurseries in Hamden. I was so impressed! Not only did they have an amazing variety of plants, but they also had so much more to offer. I saw a great selection of wind chimes, knickknacks, seeds, fertilizers, soil, and birdbaths. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially compared to the big box stores. I ended up buying a metal stand birdbath, and I love watching the birds enjoy it every day. I highly recommend checking this place out! It's also conveniently located just off I-91 at Exit 10 (first exit off the connector) or off Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) at exits 51 or 52 depending on your direction. It's not far from the highway either way and is definitely worth skipping the big box store for.
