I buy lots of orchids. I have over a hundred. They're like family to me. My wife's a realtor so when she has expensive listings I get to go to Ellicott orchids and I see Roxanne and I buy orchids many of them it's the best place to go. They're reasonably priced and they have all types. Highly recommend
The orchids are beautiful and there was a younger employee who was so helpful and friendly; the woman running the supplies store next to the orchid nursery was also amazing. But similar to previous reviews, they seemed to really have a problem with me handling the orchids, which seems absurd at a plant nursery. I was simply moving orchids around and putting them next to each other to see what the color combinations would look like and was very rudely interrupted by a lady who said that I had to stop immediately and that I was going to break the flowers. I should note here that there were many other customers who were doing the exact the same thing, except with a whole tray of orchids and they didn't seem to have a problem with them. It was so off putting that I almost walked out without getting anything. I would say that the overall impression that I got was that it was very much an atmosphere of "take the orchid you want, pay, and get out". I've been to many other orchid shops elsewhere and I have to say that those were a much better experience unfortunately.
