Diverse selection of Florida native plants. Exciting new additions to my hugelkultur pollinator bed. Amos was very knowledgeable, especially in selecting pollinator favorites that bloom late fall through spring, when bees butterflies and hummers really need them, particularly this cold winter. Very reasonable prices, skilled staff, and super healthy vigorous plants. Over all, very satisfied.
I pulled up on a Tuesday at 3:30 pm and the gate was already closed!
I love this place for getting plants! The prices are very reasonable- most 1 gallon plants/wildflowers for $8. The quality of them is very good also so you can be certain to have an excellent head start at transforming your garden. All of the plants are native to florida but have different soil and water preferences, so if possible, best to have one of the caretakers to guide you or answer any questions that pop up. I have been assisted by the same gentleman on a few occasions now and he is knowledgeable to suggest suitable plants for the areas I am planting and what my experience is. Highly recommend any plant lover to stop by. This place also supplies for many home developments and landscaping companies, so if you are unlucky, they can sell out of some of the classic plants like sunshine mimosa. The signs for each plant could do with being updated and rewritten as very sun-beaten and difficult to read, but google helps if needing quick answers. Call the number if you don't see anyone as they may be on lunch or in one of the sections further up the hill etc.
We went on Thursday, on which they are open to the general public. Amos was very knowledgeable and was able to help us find native plants for our butterfly garden.
