Recently after our freezing spell, Village Palms designed a plan for my front yard consisting of cold tolerant plants. The design was simple but nicely done. They installed the plants and laid down new stone pebbles. The team did an excellent job of moving all prior landscaping and putting in thr new plants. It was all very neatly done and much improved my landscaping. They only issue I had was that the person who set up everything was not responsive. On several occasions, I called or texted and got no response. For the money I paid, I felt should have been called back. That was frustrating. If not for that, I would have given a 5 rating
It's impossible to give this company zero stars or else I would. They are one of the worst landscaping companies in all of The Villages. Don't trust the positive reviews because most of them are done by members of their own company. They did $20,000 of landscape work for me in June 2025, and it was the sloppiest job I have ever seen of any contractor in any of work ever. They put landscape rock down. The contract said 2 to 3 inches on the but I have big patches in the yard where the landscape rock didn't even cover the black fabric. Out of the 13 plants they planted 9 of them are dead. This included a Robolini that I paid over $2500 for. When I asked them to come out and honor their work in November 2025, they said they want to have the opportunity to fertilize and see if that will bring the plants back to life and since it is November everything is dormant anyways. I reluctantly agreed to this. Now in May 2026 the plants definitely are dead and get this…they say they're sorry but the warranty expired in November and we're not going to replace them. I threatened to take them to court and the owner came out. He apologized and said yes this is unacceptable. He promised to have a person to come out the very next day but true to villages palm no one ever showed. I am now forced to scramble and get another contractor out here to replace the dead plants that have been sitting in my yard dead now for almost a year. PLEASE GO TO ANYONE ELSE for landscaping. There are several good ones out there…The Villages Palm IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!!!
Our landscaper, Scotty, did an excellent job on meeting with us before hand and going over our options. Very patient and friendly. The yard is beautiful and we get lots of compliments from neighbors driving by. Johnny, John and the other crew members, did a great job on tearing out the old and adding the new. They responded very quickly when we had questions. All of them were very professional. Our paver patio in the rear is excellent, never visualized it looking so beautiful. In the evening, the landscape lighting luminates the area beautifully. Thank you, Scotty and crew.
