I stopped going to this nursery years ago. Having many of the same issues listed in other comments. The "sales" staff having no knowledge, simply relying on their walkie talkie. Ultimately selling me an alocasia stingray that they knew had taro blight, wiping out my entire collection of alocasias. I say they knew because the guy that came over the radio said you're in what house. No don't sell anything from that house but if you've already pulled it then oh well but keep it on the cart. Little did I realize at the time exactly what the issue was, too blinded by the variety rather than looking for the issues thinking that they were doing their due diligence. The plants are never labeled and the prices are outrageous. After my initial review and then bad experience, I started searching out the plants at other sellers and found just how bad excelsa is gouging their customers. Somebody also noted that the "sales" associate seemed annoyed by having to ask for pricing or any other information (that they should have known like the back of their hand to begin with), I too had that experience on multiple occasions leaving me disgusted and unwilling to open my wallet. Truly is a shame from what I'm sure at one point in time was a great business, now with the ready availability of the tissue cultured plants at big box stores, and rare palms at garden centers and specialty nurseries there's no reason to shop here.

We were never greeted by staff. Once we did search for staff for 10 minutes one of the sales reps walked us to the palm tree section. Immediately he was annoyed with our presence. He had no interest in converting a sale that day. He was very uninformed about the different species of palms. He was arguing what species of palms were what, very uneducated and unprofessional. Once we got to the palms we wanted we were given a disgustingly high price of $1700. We have gotten a quote for the same palm for $650. I would not shop here. Save your money and go elsewhere.
