Worth the Drive for Knowledgeable Advice and Beautiful Native Plants 🌿 Selection Sweet Bay Nursery has an impressive selection of Florida native and Florida-friendly plants spread across a surprisingly large property. Despite its size, everything was easy to walk through, and we enjoyed exploring the different areas. It wasn’t organized into quite as many distinct sections as another native nursery we’ve visited, but that didn’t take away from the experience. 🌱 Service This is where Sweet Bay truly shines. We were helped almost immediately, and the staff member who assisted us spent a great deal of time walking the nursery with us. She listened to what we were trying to accomplish, looked through the photos of our yard, answered countless questions, and even filled in the gaps where my plant knowledge was lacking—like helping estimate mature heights and recommending plants that would work best for our space. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, just genuinely thoughtful advice. 🪓 Helpful Expertise One thing I especially appreciated was that the guidance went beyond simply choosing plants. We planned to repot several purchases, and she explained why we should use larger containers than we’d planned and how that would benefit the plants long term. That kind of education makes a huge difference and gave us confidence in our decisions. šŸš— Worth the Trip We drove from Sarasota, so this wasn’t exactly a quick stop, but it was well worth the drive. The combination of healthy plants, an excellent selection, and outstanding customer service made it a place we’ll happily return to. šŸ’š What Delighted Me It wasn’t just that the staff knew plants—it was that they took the time to understand our project. Instead of simply pointing us toward a few options, they partnered with us, offered practical advice, and made us feel excited about bringing native plants into our yard. That’s the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.
