About the Nursery

Specialty Kokedama Plant Nursery. Top products: Moss Ball Kokedamas, Indoor Houseplants, Outdoor Ornamental Plants. Kazumi Garden is a specialty horticultural business focused on the traditional Japanese art of Kokedama, which involves wrapping plant root systems in moss balls. Their core operation involves cultivating and sourcing a variety of indoor and outdoor plants and professionally preparing them using this distinct horticultural technique. The business serves residential customers looking for unique, low-maintenance, and aesthetically curated greenery. Their product line is categorized by light requirements, including low-light, bright indirect, and direct sunlight varieties. Beyond the initial sale of living plants, Kazumi Garden offers expert plant care support and educational resources to ensure plant longevity. They also provide maintenance services, such as moss re-wrapping, to extend the life of the Kokedama structures. Their mission centers on blending botanical expertise with artistic display, providing a unique alternative to traditional potted nursery stock.

Discovered this gem of a company at the Morikami orchid festival and was immediately drawn to their tent! They had the most unique display of plants that weren't all orchids or bonsais and as soon as the owner shared that these are plants for those without green thumbs I was intrigued. We purchased on of their really unique wood displays and two plants! One of the plants wasn't doing so hot (my fault probably) so reached out, sent some photos and they responded immediately with a few tips and then they did send me a replacement at no cost, no questions. This is a family run business that is doing beautiful work and as a new plant lover and look forward to buying more for friends and family! We love our new centerpiece and it's a conversation starter, too.

I purchased a King Palm from this company at a local farmers market. Despite carefully following the care instructions provided, the plant began declining within a few months. Wanting to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong, I reached out to the company multiple times through every available channel - social media comments, direct messages, website chat, emails, online request forms, and even phone calls. Unfortunately, I never received a response. I made several attempts to save the plant, including repotting, using plant food, and adjusting its environment, but nothing worked. Eventually, I had to throw it away, which felt like a complete waste of nearly $80. The lack of communication and support was extremely disappointing, especially for a company that emphasizes being available to help customers. Because of this experience, I would not purchase from them again.

Bought this at market days last December. It’s now may 30th & look how great it’s doing. Super easy to care for.

We were first introduced to Kazumi Japanese inspired plants when they were at a Juno Beach festival. We enjoy the plants and I got a new one for my wife this past Valentine’s Day. Good gift idea!
