Been going here to shop for fresh plantings around my home for a few years as they have a large selection of shrubs, plants, flowers and trees. Last year I decided to purchase a specific variety of persimmon tree for my father's garden and asked for assistance in locating the Hachiya Persimmon. I was told that they had a few and the gentleman up front radioed to one of his staff to pull out the Hachiya Persimmon for me and I would have to drive down and pick it up. Since the tree did not have flowers or fruit on the trees, I asked to confirm that we were getting the correct variety I requested to which I was told "YES". Well, several months after placing it in the ground, the tree ended up being a Fuyu variety instead. We kept the tree since the business has a sign posted specifying that they are not responsible for dying plants after the sale and the tree bore nice fruit the first harvest. I went back this year to specifically ask for a Hachiya Persimmon and explained that we were given the wrong variety last year but that it bore good fruit and we were happy with it even though it was not what we had intended to purchase and we wanted to make sure that we got the correct one this year. The lady up front started berating us and aggressively started telling us that we were "at fault" for the wrong tree and started explaining to us that it's not their fault that we were given the wrong one in the first place. She continued to state that they do not guarantee the tree and that they get it from a local farmer and the farmer may have mislabeled the tree. I guess she must've had a bad day and took offense when we just wanted to make sure we got what we intended to purchase this year. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment again. I now have to retract my recommendations I had given to so many of my friends, family and neighbors to avoid shopping here. So humbling.
