Run by dishonest crooks, stole my money. Placed a $600 order on their website on Dec. 1 2025 for Instant orchard trees. April 2026 came and went, May and June. No trees. Finally I get somebody on the phone on June 22 2026, (I think by accident) and they told me they are sold out so my order didn't ship. So apparently, I think they made the executive decision to keep the money for their troubles? Either way I requested a refund, today is 7/10/2026 - Still no refund. They stole my money -

My mother-in-law knows I enjoy plants so decided to buy me a couple trees from this nursery. When I got them I was leery as they were delivered dormant, with hardly any roots (basically two sticks in a box). They were not returnable but I noticed Ison's had a warranty so I decided to trust a company that has supposedly been in existence since 1934. The reason I got 2 trees is one was an Anna Apple and it needs another tree for cross pollination and thus I also got a Dorsett apple. Followed the directions provided by Ison's planted them in the ideal location at the ideal time of year. Within a week both started producing buds. . . I was excited. However after that the Dorsett apple quickly died, the buds never produced flowers or leaves. . . the Anna apple however is thriving (but unfortunately that doesn't do much good without the Dorsett as well). Because the company has a warranty and you have to contact them before July 1st, I reached out to them. . . . no response. . . . waited 4 weeks, contacted them again. This time I got a response saying they would not cover Dorsett apple since at one time it showed signs of life (even if just for a week). The place is a total rip off, with crummy customer service. If you want to by trees online by from a nursery that will send them rooted vs. a company like this that cuts cost by sending dormant cuttings. I also try to give local nurseries business but you would do better going to Lowe's or Tractor Supply to get your trees vs. dealing with Ison's.
Ison’s nursery is great. I ordered a quince tree, the roots came packed in some kind of gel and the size was as expected. After planting the tree got leaves and even one flower. I will buy more fruit plants there.
This nursery is amazing! They offer some plants you cant get anywhere else in Georgia! It has been family owned for 3 generations and I got to talk with Darlene Ison. I love my visit here and they had the plant I wanted wrapped up and in my vehicle in less than 5 minutes. What a great local nursery and I can see why they have been open since 1934. Picked up some jam on my way out (already finished it too). Would highly recommend and when I need something new, ill be going here!
i emailed a simple question How long does it take to see life on a bare root blackberry bush. Since i have never planted a bare root. Instead of answering the question they told me to take a picture and they would send me my money back!! I never asked for money back just how long does it typically take ..You can't speak to anyone on the phone..I will never buy here again!!! Again i am not looking for my money back!! Rude people BUYER BEWARE!!
