About the Nursery

Specialty Pecan Tree Nursery. Top products: grafted pecan trees, 3-year rootstock pecan saplings. Georgia Pecan Nursery is a long-standing horticultural operation specializing in the cultivation and sale of premium grafted pecan trees. With over 45 years of industry experience, the family-owned nursery focuses on the development of healthy, robust rootstock, maintaining trees in the nursery environment until they are fully established and prepared for transplanting. Their current inventory includes over 200,000 grafted trees, reflecting a high-volume production capacity geared toward both commercial orchardists and individual homeowners. Beyond retail and wholesale tree sales, the nursery functions as an educational resource, providing technical guidance on selecting appropriate pecan varieties, site design, planting techniques, and long-term orchard management. By prioritizing root development and variety selection, the nursery aims to assist customers in achieving productive harvests, positioning itself as a primary supplier for those looking to establish or expand pecan orchards.

I drove 1.5 hrs to the address listed. Intending to buy pecan trees. There is a pecan orchard at the location. No nusery. I called the phone number listed. No answer. As best that I can tell this no longer a business at the location as listed. I realized later that the reviews are years old.

Incredible customer service! I mean - INCREDIBLE. Last year I ordered two pecan trees for our home in Charleston SC. They arrived at the anticipated time and seemed fine. My husband and I planted them within a few days of arrival according to the instructions, but alas, winter turned into spring and spring turned into early summer and they hadn't leafed out yet. I contacted the nursery to ask if they were just late bloomers and would leaf out the following year, and after an initial communications snafu, was put in touch with Jesse. He didn't think they'd leaf out and offered to send me two replacement trees the following late winter/early spring at the appropriate planting time. I was impressed that they truly did guarantee their trees! I did tell him just one self-pollinating breed would be entirely fine, and we settled on that. Well, it turned out that when late winter/early spring came around, Georgia Pecan Nursery had stopped shipping their trees via FedEx due to some issues they had experienced. Jesse offered to make other arrangements to get the trees to me, and since I was going to be in Savannah GA (closer to the nursery) I asked if he wanted to meet up there for a tree hand-off. With our busy travel schedule I wasn't sure it was going to work, but Jesse was amazing. He had asked me to text him when I was in Savannah, which I did, and he pulled up in a pickup truck outside the patio of the restaurant where my family and I were eating breakfast with two beautiful pecan trees in pots, and had a nice conversation with my family to boot. The trees are now planted and are thriving. A truly exceptional experience and highly personable service by an honorable small business! I would buy from this nursery again in a heartbeat.
