Earl May Garden Center

I just left there. Four people “working”. One woman disappeared when I drove up. The other woman was helping another customer. Inside, the young man working was taking out garbage and studiously avoided eye contact so he didn’t have to help me. After wandering around outside looking for a specific plant I had the name and description of from your website, finally a man near the back of the plant area with a broom yelled out to ask if I needed help. I walked all the way over to him since he was shouting distance away, he said you “probably” had the plant, and it would be near the front of the store. I am not a plant expert. I looked again, “near the front of the store,” then gave up. Obviously you don’t have any interest in selling me several expensive plants to border my patio. For many years I have had good experiences at this location. Better than other Earl May locations. Now I will not be returning.

Great selection. Knowledgeable staff. Lots of locations. We go to the Grimes and west des moines locations. We have purchased apple, peach, pear, plum, crab apples,and cherry trees. Recently bought several rose bushes!

Helpful staff. Good selection. Nice layout of store. Prices are a steep as expected for smaller nursery center.

No pressure sales people, very helpful, knowledgeable, lots of this that and the other thing for your every need or want!
