Absolutely insane that you cannot get ahold of someone on the phone. Tried calling five different times today throughout the day and not even a sniff of being able to talk to an actual human being.

This will be my first bad review I have ever made. I bought 4 outside plants that had died on me close to 3 days after buying them. Discouraged I still tried to nurse them back to health with watering daily and sunshine because they were full sun plants. Despite my efforts the plants failed and I needed to get new ones and take them back. I had receipt and proof of purchase with me. I told the woman I needed to return them and she said why weren’t they in the ground? . I hadn’t planted them yet because they were already staring to die on day two when I had mapped out where I was gonna plant them in my backyard. Regardless of how they died I wanted new plants that weren’t gonna die. I was told by the manager they were not watered and That two of them weren’t even from there at all. Mind blown!. I remember the man that helped me outside that day with them. I used to love going to zamzows and have always spent money there. I will never again and will persist to tell everyone I know that spends money there they had no compassion and trying to tell me I did not water them is insane why wouldn’t I , I spent 1000$ that day at zamzows on plants and two trees.why would I just want to throw money away and not water them that’s my hard earned money. Clearly they didn’t take the plants back.its hardly about that and more about they way they went about it all.rant over and forgot this place.

Love this place. So knowledgeable, plenty of staff to assist. Lawn program is easy to follow and our lawn never looked better. Manager is just great!

What has happened to the excellent store Zamzows on Chinden has been for so many years??! With each planting season, this would be my go-to not only for selective variety, but also for the great associates whose hearts were clearly into caring for the plants, faces that have now disappeared. Of my 3 recent visits there, not once have I seen any garden shop employee actually working nor asking patrons if they needed help; instead with drinking cup in hand, chattering and laughing. The plants are very neglected and shelves messy with haphazard sorting, lack of variety and proper signage. Here now it is UNattractive and UNinviting, with loud distasteful music playing overhead. I miss those employees scurrying around to genuinely care for the plants, replaced by those getting by with minimum work. I can see why those familiar faces no longer wish to work alongside those who don't have their heart in it. This store was once thriving. It was clean and smelled good. The grand topper when checking out with my skimpy purchase, was the rudeness with which I was treated by the young cocky fellow at the register preoccupied with himself. I will no longer patronize Zamzows Chinden.
