this is my second year purchasing seedlings from the chicago tomato man... here are 8 in my raised bed planter, all lush and vibrant -- they're all budding flowers and one is flowering -- i picked up one of these plants in may but didn't transplant it until jun when we passed our sub 50° overnight temperatures -- the others were picked up in jun and transplanted the next day -- i've noticed many of his buyers are repeat customers when chatting with them at pick-ups -- i highly recommend this philanthropic business that donates plants to schools, community gardens supporting food banks + food pantries etc

Do not believe the hype about the Chicago Tomato Man. I ordered several varieties of tomato plants. The quality of ALL of the plants was absolutely terrible. A few of the plants were nothing but single sticks with no leaf growth whatsoever. They still haven’t started taking off and it’s been over 2 weeks. The others were scrawny and not healthy looking. Within a few days it was clear that they had a fungus. I sent them an email with photos and received NO response. I had a few healthy plants that I purchased elsewhere and the fungus began to travel to those plants. I have now spent additional money on fungicides to control the fungus.

Zero Stars. Not Recommended. Caveat Emptor.
