They had a lovely selection of flowers at a great price. I was able to get 12 4 packs for $28. They were also very helpful suggesting shrubs for a hard to grow area in our yard.

I have debated posting this for a while, as this incident happened nearly an week ago and it was most likely an honest mistake. But I wanted to put the warning out there so no one else had to go through my experience. We called in and specifically asked if they had milkweed, and we explained this milkweed is for feeding our monarch caterpillars. They said they did, and that the milkweed would work for the caterpillars. They did NOT warn us that there are pesticides sprayed on these plants. I know we should’ve taken the precautions to ask, but when we specifically said this was for FEEDING live creatures, we assumed that the employee would include that part. We lost half of our monarch caterpillars in such a horrid and traumatizing way. I was crying for days, but we were luckily able to nurse some of them back to health. Still, the majority passed who were killed by Gensler’s milkweed. The only reason people would be buying milkweed is 99% of the time for helping caterpillars or butterflies. Why would you not warn us beforehand? The staff present was so nice, the place was lovely and well maintained, but I will never be returning again. Here’s one of my sweet monarch caterpillars we were able to nurse back to health! And we found a different greenhouse, one that does NOT SPRAY PESTICIDES on their milkweed plants, and the caterpillars are now thriving!! At least the ones who have survived.
