I originally received Angel’s information through a referral and was excited to give Wheaton Nurseries an opportunity to bid on our landscaping project. Unfortunately, the experience never got off the ground. When I first called, I was told Angel would get back to me in a timely manner. She did not. I had to follow up multiple times just to get on her schedule. Because she came highly recommended, I continued pursuing the opportunity despite the lack of communication. I was also informed that I would receive a confirmation call at least 48 hours before our scheduled appointment, along with instructions regarding the required $150 consultation fee due when Angel arrived at our property. This fee is charged regardless of whether you ultimately use Wheaton Nurseries for the project. The day before the appointment, Wheaton Nurseries closed at 6:00 PM. By 5:45 PM, I still had not received any confirmation call. I contacted the office and spoke with Lizzie, who was very pleasant and advised that Angel was expected to return later that evening and would be calling to confirm. Unfortunately, Lizzie did not have access to Angel’s schedule and could not independently verify the appointment. The following morning (the day of the consult, scheduled for Noon), Angel finally called at 9:30 AM. Rather than confirming the appointment or introducing herself, the primary purpose of the call seemed to be making sure I had a cash or check ready for the consultation fee. There was no “nice to meet you,” no acknowledgment of the missed confirmation, and no customer service whatsoever. When I explained that I had never actually received the promised confirmation call and that Lizzie had advised Angel would be reaching out the evening before, Angel’s response was simply that she did not want our business. While I understand Wheaton Nurseries has likely experienced tremendous growth and success over the years, it was disappointing to feel that basic communication, courtesy, and professionalism were no longer priorities. The positive takeaway is that we received several other referrals and are excited to move forward with a local female-owned small business that has demonstrated the level of customer service and professionalism we were looking for from the beginning. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Wheaton Nurseries.

My Christmas Tree was amazing! 3 weeks later and XMas tree still beautiful
I bought a few philodendron from here, years ago, they’ve been through it all with me, overwatering, under watering, not enough light.. oops, but everyone is still alive and well! Extremely healthy plants and will be coming back! Very friendly staff
Angel, her team and her whole family at the Nursery are kind, helpful and extremely knowledgable. How lucky are we to have such a beautiful place that also does wonderful and fun events for the community. Wheaton Nurseries is truly gem for all you indoor/outdoor plant/tree needs. Their indoor shop has beautiful trinkets, candles and the perfect gifts for love ones.
Angel helped us come up with a plan to completely change our backyard to add landscaping and color! She was very helpful throughout the whole process, and really picked out some nice pieces for our yard to help totally transform the space based on our preferences and what our yard had to offer. Highly recommend!!!
