About the Nursery

Retail nursery and produce farm. Top products: Vegetable plants, Annual bedding plants, Perennials and shrubs, Fresh berries, Freezer beef and lamb. Founded in 2013 by Howard and Betsy Downey at the site of the former Elsbury’s greenhouse, Duck Creek Gardens is a diversified horticultural and agricultural operation based in Hope, Indiana. The business functions as a retail nursery and garden center offering an extensive selection of annuals, vegetable starts, perennials, native plants, shrubs, and roses. Beyond its horticultural offerings, the farm utilizes greenhouse technology to extend the growing season for fresh produce and operates a pick-your-own berry patch. The business serves local homeowners and gardeners, providing both plant material and supporting garden supplies. In addition to its plant nursery operations, the farm maintains a local food component, selling USDA-inspected, grass-fed and grain-finished freezer beef, lamb, and fresh seasonal berries. The facility includes a gift shop with decorative garden items, highlighting their role as a community-focused destination for both gardening needs and farm-fresh products.

We came to this location when it was called Elsburry, over 15 years ago. This place is great, great prices, great variety. We were just driving by and saw the sign, decided to check it out. Check out the photos and this is just a sample

Last year I bought the most beautiful Dick Clark Rose bush and it has come back strong this Spring. I have always gotten my rose bushes here. One per year and they have all flourished.
