About the Nursery

Retail Garden Center Nursery. Top products: Petite 2-inch plants, Fairy garden supplies, Ornamental plants, Container gardening kits. Allisonville Home & Garden by Sullivan operates as a multifaceted retail garden center and destination space. While the business integrates experiential retail elements—such as workshops for children, an in-house restaurant named Maggie's Bistro, and private event hosting services—it maintains a core focus on the horticultural market. The nursery provides a variety of ornamental plants, specifically catering to home gardeners and hobbyists interested in container gardening and miniature landscape design. Their service model targets local homeowners and families, combining the traditional sale of live plants and gardening accessories with social and lifestyle experiences. The operation serves as a comprehensive community hub where customers can purchase seasonal greenery and gardening supplies while accessing on-site dining and event facilities. By blending horticultural retail with hospitality, the business facilitates both plant acquisition and social engagement.

It once was a great place to find unique and beautiful plants of all kinds at decent prices. Unfortunately it seems they are much more focus on growing their footprint and less about what brought their customers in. Prices have really gone up and much more than other greenhouses. Trying to find a helpful and knowledgeable associate is harder than ever. But don’t worry if you need food or a drink from the cafe they are always staffed. It’s sad to see a place we visited and enjoyed supporting become too large for its roots! No pun intended. I’m sure their new business model will be successful as we all know this area has plenty of people who can afford to send someone in with thousands of dollars to make their white picket fence dream a reality. Unfortunately the ones who helped from day one and spread the word are no longer able to enjoy their little plant store.

Very nice place, l wish they would stick to plants, they are building a coffee bar. Prices on trees have sky rocketed. I used to give them a five, but things change.

Edit: Thank you for the quick response! Perhaps I was just confused, however, the third sentence in your response still reflects the last sentence in my original review. Best, ———————— We used to love coming here when it was a plant shop. Today unfortunately I noticed that they had turned a section of the Tropical House Plants area into another dining area. Felt as though I had to navigate around people looking at lunch menus just to see a philodendron. This is no longer a plant shop, this is the mess hall at the mall now. It’s become an ever changing labyrinth of Slider Stations, BBQ land, and people waiting to be seated. I just want to get plants like I always have. Now you can’t even walk through the building without getting caught up in the church lunch crowd. The first couple cafes were cute and fun. Now I’m just expecting a cafeteria where the greenhouse is on my next trip back. You guys forgot about your original customers. Now you just cater to large families wanting cheese burgers.

Even during busy season, the line moves incredibly fast. The cashiers are on it, staying friendly and efficient even when it’s packed. You can tell the team has created a really well-organized system because everything flows smoothly from start to finish. I was honestly impressed with how quickly they kept people moving without making customers feel rushed. Great teamwork and efficiency all around.
