About the Nursery

Christmas Tree and Agritourism. Top products: Choose & cut Christmas trees, Live cut wreaths, Pumpkins and seasonal decor. Piney Acres Tree Farm, located in Fortville, Indiana, is a working farm that specializes in seasonal horticultural offerings, most notably a choose-and-cut Christmas tree forest. The farm serves the local community and families as both a seasonal plant provider and an agritourism destination. Their primary horticultural focus is the cultivation and sale of Christmas trees and the retail of seasonal items like live cut wreaths, pumpkins, squash, and sunflowers during the fall harvest season. Beyond their tree and plant sales, the operation functions as an educational facility and family-oriented entertainment venue. They offer structured school field trips that incorporate agricultural education—such as tree planting demonstrations—alongside farm-based activities including corn mazes, petting zoos, and hayrides. The farm operates as a retail destination for local consumers and educational groups, balancing their traditional tree farming roots with a robust, event-driven business model.

We have been going to Piney Acres the last 5 years since we moved to the area for our Christmas tree. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! The trees are always so beautiful and enhances our Christmas experience. Thank you Piney Acres for helping make our Christmas bright.

Coming here has been our family tradition for several years, but recently they have changed hours last minute without putting it on their website or Google Maps. We’ve driven out 30 min with the kids only to be disappointed. They have also stopped letting people cut their own trees for some reason for 2025. We will be looking for another regular place.

Great place and friendly people. We get our Christmas tree from there every year and love the experience. Highly Recommended.

It was a nice little place, lots of entertainment for the kids. Unfortunately we purchased a tree for around $200 just 2 weeks ago and the tree is already dying.. the needles are falling off as soon as I touch it. I can’t get under to water it without losing an entire branch! Extremely disappointing for the price we paid! I’m from Pennsylvania in the mountains and I’m used to paying $25 for amazing trees so not only was this extensive price wise, it was absolutely not worth the money. We have to buy another tree as we’re still far from Christmas. I do not recommend buying a tree from here.
