About the Nursery

Retail Ornamental Plant Nursery. Top products: spring flowers, vegetable plants, Proven Winners shrubs and perennials. Stonehouse Gardens is a retail plant nursery established in 2023 by Brandon and Amanda Woestman, located in Jefferson County. The business operates on a property with over two decades of greenhouse history, focusing on providing high-quality ornamental plants and vegetable starts to the local community. Their inventory includes a curated selection of annuals, perennials, and vegetable transplants, notably featuring the Proven Winners brand. Catering primarily to local homeowners and gardening enthusiasts, the nursery serves as both a production space and a retail destination. By transforming an established greenhouse site, the founders aim to foster community engagement through gardening education and the distribution of seasonal horticultural products. The business offers a variety of plant-based goods for home garden cultivation, supported by convenient retail services such as digital and physical gift cards, and operates on a seasonal schedule focused on the peak spring growing season.

I always love shopping at a local garden store. This place is no exception. The staff were great and helpful. I tried a new variety of tomatoes. I had very mixed results with the Burpee Delicious tomatoes. In the beginning they split before they started to ripen. I was ready to pull the four plants I had, but my husband told me to wait. They did end up being a good tomato, but they never really had the red color. They had a good flavor, but in the end started splitting again at the end of the season. I won't buy that variety again. I will stick with my jet stars, celebrity, and Amish paste tomatoes. I would love to see them grow Goliath tomatoes for starter plants. Those tomatoes get huge and are very juicy. Everything I bought there this season did great. The bell peppers were delicious, eggplant very productive, and the Bodacious corn was fantastic. Thank you all for your hard work

What a great experience! The employees and owner were kind, helpful, and made me glad I stopped. There was a huge selection, even in mid May, and the employee I spoke with made sure that he answered any questions I had and went above and beyond to give me information. I'll be back, for sure!
