I have been a Swan’s customer since I moved to Kansas City in 2020. They built my pond, pondless waterfall, and have redone my patio. When Kevin left, prices for maintenance more than doubled. Since then they continue to raise the price by over $1000 a year with the exception of 2023-2024. Costs have increased for all of us, but they put the brunt of the cost increase on their customers in a way that seems egregious, and expect full payment in advance. In 2024 yearly maintenance for my pond was around $4000. Two years later it is $6,075. It breaks my heart, but I won’t pay that much, and the customers should have an idea of what they can expect, and that’s for their prices to go up at least $1000 a year. By 2030 I would have been paying $10,000 for pond maintenance at their rate of increase. I suspect they are trying to price out their residential customers in favor of larger projects. They have hired good people. Jordan, Adam, Charlie and Zack were always guys I looked forward to seeing, and they did good work. I will miss them, but there’s no way I’m paying $6k for pond maintenance.
