About the Nursery

Christmas Tree Specialty Farm. Top products: Scotch Pine, Virginia Pine, White Pine, Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Concolor Fir, Blue Spruce, Wreaths. Midland Holiday Pines is a family-owned and operated Christmas tree farm located in Shawnee, Kansas, established in 2002. Situated on 7 acres of land, the farm specializes in the cultivation and sale of various pine and fir species, including Scotch, Virginia, and White Pines grown directly on-site. To provide a diverse selection for the Kansas City area, they also import premium specialty trees, such as Fraser and Balsam Firs, from growers in Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. The farm offers a traditional 'choose-and-cut' experience for trees ranging from 6 to 21 feet, with most field-grown trees measuring 7 to 10 feet. Their operations are strictly seasonal, opening annually on the Friday following Thanksgiving. In addition to live trees, they produce handmade, decorated wreaths and operate a small gift shop selling seasonal ornaments and cards. The business provides full-service support, including tree shaking, netting, and vehicle securing assistance for customers.

Highly recommend, lovely couple. We came just before their end of the season and they offered the last few trees and gave us great service. Now we know to come earlier next year!

Tons of bugs falling out of the tree every day! We have bought here in the past and it’s been fine but this year it’s horrible. We haven’t been able to keep our presents under the tree and keep finding these ticks/bugs on the tree skirt every day. Our pest company came out last week and since then look how many have fallen out of the tree. Normally we keep the tree up well into January, but this year it will be leaving our house promptly the day after Christmas. Sad because we paid over $150 for a tree to throw it away prematurely. Only reason for any stars rating is the place itself is nice and the day of experience was great for my littles. We loved our grinch mountain tree this year. One inconsequential thing this year that’s changed. I brought my own saw like the years prior but I was stopped at the gates and told I couldn’t bring it out with me to look but when I found one to come get it back from them. I’m lucky I got back when I did because right as I walked up after finding my tree, the guy was giving my saw to someone else and was really confused when I said no that’s mine.
