A few years ago, I stopped in here with a friend and ended up buying my favorite hanging plant along with a beautiful 3D vase. Julio was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We spent time chatting about the area, the community, and even a bit about ourselves, and he genuinely made the experience memorable. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. Not only is the owner friendly and passionate about what he does, but that hanging plant I bought years ago is still alive and thriving today, which says a lot about the quality of both the plants and the advice I received. I’ll definitely be back again this summer.

As a former business owner and father of two in SB I will also be appreciative and have PRIDE in a business that creates beautiful plants that decorate our spaces and lives.

Sine they opened, I have loved stopping into this shop to pick out meaningful special gifts for friends and family. The owner has always been so kind and helpful and takes the time to get to know you and help you decide on the perfect gift. Which is rare these days so I’m very thankful for this local shop!

When we first moved to Southie, my 7 year old daughter and her grandmother and I stopped into Microplant studio on a whim. Julio, the owner, went out of his way to talk to my daughter, explain all the different plants, answer her and her grandmother’s many questions and simply introduce us to the kind of wonderful community we began to experience in Southie. We bought beautiful succulents for my husband and every year for Father’s Day our daughter asked to go back to ‘the plant store’ to visit Julio and find a special gift for her daddy. Thank you, Julio, for being kind, welcoming and sharing your passion with the Southie community!

Julio is one of the most wonderful people I have met! When I lived in Southie, it was a weekly ritual for me to go get a small plant or some flowers from Micro Plant studio to brighten up my week. Julio was always friendly and extremely knowledgeable about plants. He also encouraged me to nurture my artistic side and hearing his story of how he started Micro plant Studio propagating in his apartment and growing it into a business was so inspiring. His studio represents all those who may look different, sometimes feel unseen or even hated. Seeing Julio continuing to build this amazing plant haven in the heart of Boston is truly inspirational.
