Weston Nurseries

My previous review, below, was written in June of 2023. I went back yesterday, Apr. 29, 2024, to speak to them about replacing a couple of trees that didn't survive the Winter (not Weston's fault). Working with Ryan, Bridget, and KB, the staff were gracious and more than helpful. They honored their warranty and replaced the two trees, free of charge....and even threw in free delivery (never expected that). I walked out of their office at 1 PM yesterday and the trees are sitting in my back yard at 11:30 today (less than 24 hours later). I honestly can't say enough about these folks. Enormous selection, gracious staff, and great prices ! If you need plants, shrubs, or trees, go to Weston (really) ! P.S. If you're buying plants, shrubs, and/or trees for your private home (you're not a business) don't let the word "Wholesale" deter you from coming here. The same selections that are sold wholesale during the week are sold retail on Fridays and Saturdays. ----------------------------------------------------------- What a hidden treasure ! Mary & I were looking for three 7-foot arborvitaes. We went to four different nurseries, all over the South Shore. We found that either 7-footers weren't available or folks were asking close to $400 each. An independent landscaper referred us to Weston Nurseries, in Middleborough. While they are a wholesaler, they do sell retail. They had a few thousand healthy trees, bushes, and plants, of all types. Their numerous arborvitaes were healthy & full....and they were asking $250 each (retail) for the seven-foot trees, before a ten percent Veterans discount. Chris Bell, the Manager, was a pleasure to work with, as was KB, the foreman. I'd highly recommend going to this nursery if you're looking for landscaping plants. .

Chris B. was extremely knowledgeable about all the trees and rare cultivars on site. he was patient, helpful, and nice, with great help too. Highly recommend this place. Great place to do business with. True professionals! Thanks Chris 👍

Purchased 9 trees, spent thousands of dollars. The person who sold us the trees told us "he wanted us to be happy as we were new customers and new to Middleboro". Note, we had previously purchased several trees in September as well. Prior to last week's purchase, we had called to check the hours, were told they were open till 4:00, arrived at 11:45 and turned away because they were closing at noon. One of the trees we picked out was conveniently "switched" for another and we were told they didn't know what happened to the original. Another tree was clearly stressed, and did not look as tall as the original tree we picked either, plus the leaves were brown on half the tree. We went to share pics of the brown leafed tree and the man we spoke to said we aren't his customer, the landscaper is - (because we couldn't transport the trees ourselves we needed a landscaper to do so). Then the man tried to tell us that en route the tree was incorrectly wrapped and this caused the leaves to "burn". Why were the other 8 trees ok? It was wrapped correctly and traveled only 7 miles. He refused to give us a replacement or warranty for the tree which cost over $300. He said that it had a 90 day warranty but was not covered because it was damaged during transport. This is how you treat customers who spend thousands of dollars with you? Unprofessional, despicable and disappointing that they do not attempt to make this right.

4 stars. Only because this was my 1st time there since they took over. Check out area is nicely organized with a good selection of quality tools. Nursery also well organized with a healthy looking selection of trees/shrubs.. pricing seemed fair.
