Jungle Jim's Garden Center

Visited Jungle Jim’s today and this is not my first visit but it will be my last! I’ve been going here for 5+ years. Memorial Day, I seem to hit the hardest as I have four sites to decorate and smaller ones that I add due to smaller markers. Pulling in, we were greeted by a fork truck (mind you no ground guide) that was carrying a large order of garden flowers. We could not see the driver not sure how or if he saw us but we stopped and had to back up with another vehicle behind us and this is Rt 12. I got out and headed to the larger cemetery boxes (husband in car watching baby) to view what I was going to buy. I grabbed a wagon and looked for smaller boxes to resemble larger ones but could not see any smaller. I stood at the end of the flower display waiting for the gentleman giving instruction to an employee but actually doing the work (micro manager) to stop talking so I could ask him where I could find the size on the flower cart that he brought over, that were still wrapped. After standing there watching him work for five minutes, I said can you tell me where I can find this size of a flower box that was on a flower cart he just unloaded. He said over there in the front they’re mixed in. As I was trying to match a larger box and a smaller box for one grave, I went over and there was nothing that resembled it. I walked back and put the wagon back against the wall, where I got it and was leaving and told the gentleman there was nothing there. There was only three and none of them was what I needed or wanted he said I don’t want you to come back here ever again you’re rude. Do you know how hot it is out here? Did he forget I was standing there for five minutes waiting for him to look at me so I could ask where the smaller planters were. Then he had the audacity to follow me to my car yelling don’t come back here and said don’t bring your wife back here again. First of all who in their right mind when the car is not in the first row it’s in the second row behind a whole bunch of stock follows a woman to the car screaming. Someone that doesn’t have it all together and should not be in customer contact. If he is the person that manages/owns the place, he should know that the customer is always in the right. Though I did nothing wrong. He doesn’t have to tell me not to go back! I’ll make sure to tell my friends also.

Great! Very helpful and they had just what I wanted

Although there was a wide variety of plants, there was no one on the outside to help. The plants were quite overpriced also. When I went inside to look for help, there was one person inside who walked by me several times to help others who entered the store after me. When I spoke up, the lady passed by me again. At that point, I left!

This is usually a good place to find great plants. Their prices aren't always the best but if I come here it's for quality not price. They didn't have a full display of what I was looking for but now that they are open for the season I will be checking regularly. Update: They appear to now have a large assortment of plants, May 2025.
