This used to be our local nursery, but since Covid came and went, it is no longer a nursery at all! Why do you limit your plants to only in Montgomery county? If you re-opened up and advertised well you would have so much business.

I have been to this garden center twice now. If you know what you want and are willing to pay more than your bigger box stores, then you will have a decent experience. I, on the other hand, visited in the hopes of getting some knowledgable customer service since I'm new to Maryland and not familiar with all the things that grow well here. My first visit had a new employee who did not know much, but she was willing to ask her superior questions using her walkie talkie. I paid a ton for a few plants and some soil, but was satisfied at receiving a decent experience. My second visit was to find some lavender plants. I asked the cashier and he said if they had any, it would be outside with the perennials. I walked around, found what I was looking for then saw some other plants that I really liked but they had no tags on them. When I asked the employee inside since none of the outdoor employees seemed inclined to be of assistance what the flowers were, he said he was merely a cashier and had no other responsibilities. He suggested I use my google lens to take a picture of the plants and then I could do a photo ID online. He really suggested that I use an app instead of a human that gets paid to be there. Customer service here is absolutely lacking. I was trying to support local business instead of a big chain, but there's no point if no one can answer the public's questions. They have pretty plants, it's close to my house, but it's not worth the extra price for zero customer service. I don't think I will go back.
I must share my wonderful experience today. I got a flat tire and pulled in to get off the main road. Anthony who works there offered me his personal jack and equipment. He did his job helping customers but also helped me change my tire, and kept checking on me. He offered me water and made sure I had what I needed. Others from the center also offered assistance. Please support this great business. Anthony is awesome and a genuine great person.
This nursery is a gem! The staff there are very helpful & friendly and thats no exaggeration! My first time there, I asked so many questions and they answered every single one! They have a great variety of garden vegetables and indoor and outdoor plants as well. The prices are very affordable which is a plus theese days! Im all about supporting locally owned small businesses. I highly recommend all green thumbs to come here!
