I am in North Carolina and I called Himmel’s Landscape and Garden Center in Maryland And ordered a Japanese maple tree to be planted in the yard of my best friend To honor the memory of their son who lost his life to wicked cancer. The experience that I had talking to Elizabeth was over the top wonderful. Such a nice lady helping me with my needs in another state and a compassionate heart as well. Terrible business. We've gotten better customer service at the MVA. Himmel's can't answer messages in a timely manner if at all. My wife and I took time off work for them to come out to do an estimate and they no-showed. They were 30 minutes late so I messaged them. A half-hour later, they respond with... 'Oh, sorry. Our guy was double-booked. Wanna try again?' We each lost a half-day's work for nothing. It took two weeks just to get that appointment set up. No thanks! We tried to have them do the estimate last year. Actually went out there and talked to someone face-to-face. They collected all of our information and said that they would call us to set it up. A week later, no calls. So I called them. "Oh yeah, you're on our list. We'll be in touch soon." Another week goes by... nothing. Two weeks... nothing. We gave up, said maybe next year and we'll start early. Total waste of time, all the way around.

Awesome! I wanted to stock up on firewood before the impending snowstorm this weekend. This was on Wednesday. I was somewhat nervous just paying online without talking to anyone. I couldn’t believe that the very next day the wood was delivered exactly as I left in the instructions. Also, prices were reasonable. Very happy that I pulled the trigger and chose Himmel’s.
