Hello Richard. We have three diverse selections that belong to the Castanea Mollissima chestnut family. Alll of our trees are 40 dollars and would include trees at the 6ft range. The are from the castanea Mollissima family of chestnuts that are blight resistant. Empire Elite Mix from Dr Greg Miller at Route 9 Cooperative in Ohio Trees from his partner Bob Stehli at Wintergreen tree farm. Seeds sourced from his top 300 trees out of the 4000 trees. He culled the rest believe it or not. My first 100 trees that had seed last year that I repurposed. So their proven to acclimate to our growing conditions.

I ordered Chinquapin trees. I give Mr. Brad a 10 out of 10 they were well packaged and healthy. Very professional. I will definitely use them again. I wish I would have taken pictures. I ordered several lbs of chestnuts for the holidays, couldn’t wait to try them so roasted a bunch last week! They were outstanding!! They will be a hit this holiday amongst our guests. We purchased a few pounds of chestnuts and loved them! Up until then, our only experience was the song you hear during Christmas. Brad was very informative and educated us on the versatility of this ancient nut. The sustainability factor is really exciting when you think of all the inputs that go into annual crops like wheat. We were also unaware that chestnuts were gluten free and are extremely nutritious. Thank you for the experience!
