love this place, they obv care about both plants and the community, know so much about the plants they carry and their pollinators! also very cute garden/walkway area with beautiful flowers and even a shaded section! I will always get my local native plants from City Roots :)

I’ve been buying plants here for years. Great place to go. Very knowledgeable and the plants are so healthy. I really like that they are all grown locally in Lawson

I really wanted to love a small, local business who sells native plants, but I've had it with City Roots. My partner bought 8 plants, 4 in small pots and 4 in quart pots. City Roots charged double for the quarter pots, but the plants were the same size as the plants in the small pots. This made planting the plants in the large pots very difficult, because when I took them out of the quart pot, all the dirt fell off, exposing the roots. This is due to the fact that the root ball did not fill the larger sized pot. Over the years, several times I have call ahead of going to City Roots to ask if they had the plants I was looking for. They always told me they did have them, but when I showed up, they did not have them in stock. There are better, more honest businesses to get your native plants than this place. Avoid City Roots.
