Very nice place just wish the customer service was better.

This was going to be a year without flowers. I’ve always loved flowers and planted many of them, but this year was different. I taught for 30 years, retired, and then cared for Mama, who had dementia, from 2022 until she passed away in May 2025. One of Mama’s favorite things during that time was lying on her daybed and looking out the big picture window at her yard. She had always loved planting flowers, so when she was no longer able, we made sure to do it for her. We worked hard to keep her yard filled with beautiful flowers and the tree in front of her window stocked with bird feeders. Many people who visited commented on how pretty and peaceful it looked. As Mama’s time drew near, I wanted to make it even prettier. We planted flowers and also bought containers of flowers from Whitaker Farms Retail Garden Center. Their arrangements are always beautiful. We placed planters filled with their flowers on the ground in front of the picture window where Mama spent her days. After her funeral, we shared those arrangements with Mama’s friends and loved ones. So this year was different. There was something about watching the flowers bloom this season that made me emotional. I told people I just didn’t have it in me to plant flowers this year. But one day, while buying strawberries at Whitaker’s on 64, I found myself wandering over to the flower section. I picked out a planter and a couple of geraniums for my porch. Bright and colorful, they reminded me that I couldn’t imagine a summer without flowers. As I stood there, emotional while choosing the plants I wanted, I ran into Nathan. Like everyone at Whitaker Farms, he was kind, helpful, and completely understanding. I told him how special their flowers had been to us last May and shared my “flower story.” The flowers I bought that day are beautiful and full of blooms. I look at them every day and am thankful for the beauty and color they bring. I’m also thankful for the time Mama and I shared enjoying flowers together. Thank you, Whitaker Farms. Your flowers mean much more than you know.

Good vegetables bakery ..plants friendly

The man working there was very helpful. He helped me pick out all of my plants and knew which plants i needed for sun and shade. I even pick up to hanging baskets for my hummingbirds. I will be going back.
